Recently, the China Association for Invention has made public the review results of the candidates for fellows of the China Association for Invention in 2025. Mr. Ling Jianjun, the founder of Lingzhi Equipment Group, a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and a "contemporary inventor", was elected as a fellow of the China Association of Invention.

Fellow of the China Association for Invention is the highest level of membership and academic honor established by the China Association for Invention, aiming to recognize outstanding contributors who have achieved remarkable results in the fields of invention, innovation and entrepreneurship. The China Association for Invention began to establish the fellow system in 2018. The candidates for fellows are recommended and evaluated by experts. They should not only be leading figures in their respective disciplines with certain social influence, but also be enthusiastic about the cause of invention and be able to play a leading and exemplary role in invention and innovation throughout society. The selection is held once a year. Ten scientists including Yuan Longping were elected as the first batch of fellows. So far, the China Association of Inventors has selected fellows eight times. Up to this selection, only 74 people who have made outstanding contributions to invention and innovation in various fields have been elected across the country, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, academic leaders, well-known experts in various fields, and inventors. In 2025, nine candidates across the country entered the review process. After expert review and determination, the candidates for the 2025 Annual Conference of the China Association for Invention are: Zhang Liqun, Wu Fengchang, Zou Hengguang, Yan Jun, Zou Ruqiang, Zheng Lei, Guo Jiao (female), Wang Gang, and Ling Jianjun. Zhang Liqun: Doctor of Engineering, Professor, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. He is currently the President (at the vice-ministerial level) and the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Xi 'an Jiaotong University.

Wu Fengchang: An academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, he is currently the deputy chief engineer, researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences, the director of the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Benchmarks and Risk Assessment, a dual-appointed professor at Tsinghua University, and the vice chairman of the 9th Council of the Chinese Society for Environmental Sciences

3. Zou Hengguang: Chief designer of satellite models at China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. He was selected as a valid candidate for the 2021 election of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2021 and 2023

4. Yan Jun: Founder and Chairman of Smart Interconnection Technology (AICT), holds a Ph.D. from the University of Hong Kong and a master's degree from Peking University. He is a senior engineer

5. Zou Ruqiang: Distinguished Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Peking University, he is currently the Dean and Party Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Peking University, and the Chief scientist of the Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology

6. Guo Jiao: Professor of the Second Grade, Doctoral Supervisor, Chief Scientist of the National Key Research and Development Program, former President of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, and a recipient of the Special Government Allowance

7. Zheng Lei: He holds a doctoral degree. In May 2011, he was appointed as a Distinguished Professor of Huangshan Scholars at Hefei University of Technology. In August 2022, he was appointed as the president of Hefei University of Technology

8. Wang Gang: Bachelor's degree from Harbin Institute of Technology, Ph.D. from UIUC in the United States. Former tenured professor at Nanyang Technological University. Previously served as Vice President of Alibaba and head of the Autonomous Driving Laboratory at DAMO Academy

Personal Introduction of Ling Jianjun

Ling Jianjun, the founder of Lingzhi Equipment Group, is a professor-level senior engineer and senior economist. In April 2024, he was elected as a foreign academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and in June 2024, he was awarded the title of "Contemporary Inventor". He has presided over and undertaken numerous national, provincial and municipal-level scientific research projects, including the National Major Science and Technology Special Project, the Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Project, and the Jiangsu Province Ecological Environment Research Project. For many years, Academician Ling Jianjun has led Lingzhi Group to focus on technological research and development, innovation and the transformation of achievements. A total of over 400 patents have been applied for, with 202 valid patents authorized, including 63 domestic invention patents and 20 foreign invention patents. It has won more than ten science and technology awards, including one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, one second prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Award, two excellence awards of the China Patent Award, one first prize of the China Invention and Innovation Award, one first prize of the Huaxia Construction Science and Technology Award, and one first prize of the Private Science and Technology Development Contribution Award for Scientific and Technological Progress.
