Engineering creates the world, and education leads the future. On September 21st, the 2025 International Conference on Engineering Education Development opened at the Beiyangyuan Campus of Tianjin University. Guests such as Zhang Ling, Vice Mayor of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, Zhou Tianhua, Director of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education, Elizabeth Taylor, Chairperson of the International Engineering Union, and Zaw Min Aung, Chairperson of the Engineering Education Committee of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations Nearly a thousand academicians, experts, teachers and students, representatives from the business community, industry associations and academic societies from over 90 universities across five continents gathered in Tianjin to jointly discuss the challenges and future opportunities faced by engineering education and work together to draw a new blueprint for the development of global engineering education. The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Chai Liyuan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, president of Tianjin University and the head of the National New Engineering Discipline Construction Working Group.

Lingzhi Equipment Co., Ltd. and Lingzhi Equipment Saudi Branch Manbit Aljuthur Company were invited to attend the conference. The important sections of the conference included the establishment ceremony of the "International Center for Cultivating Outstanding Engineering Talents" and the "International Center for Teaching Development of New Engineering Teachers".

Parallel conferences were held concurrently with the conference, focusing on topics such as "Governance and Transformation of International Engineering Education in the Digital Intelligence Era", "Construction of an Engineering Education Ecosystem with Deep Integration of Industry and Education", and "Practice of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education", promoting the two-way advancement of theoretical discussions and practical explorations.

On September 22, 2025, the second parallel conference of the International Conference on Engineering Education Development - "Cross-disciplinary and Collaborative Cultivation of Engineering Talents in Global Industrial Transformation", hosted by Tianjin University and co-organized by the School of Environmental Science and Engineering and the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Tianjin University, was successfully held in the B115 Lecture Hall on the 59th floor of the Beiyangyuan Campus of Tianjin University. This conference focuses on the mission of engineering education in the context of industrial transformation, gathering experts and scholars from renowned universities, industry enterprises and international organizations at home and abroad to jointly explore innovative paths for cross-disciplinary and cross-field cultivation of engineering talents and new ideas for global coordinated development, injecting new concepts, new practices and new impetus into the reform of engineering education for the future.
