The main body of this process equipment adopts a PP hollow ribbed structure, integrating the advantages of the traditional biofilm method. In the reactor, high-efficiency microbial carriers that occupy 40% to 45% of the effective volume of the tank are added, and a large number of special microorganisms attach and are fixed on them. In each level of reactors, the degradation effect of target pollutants is enhanced by cultivating different specific and advantageous bacterial strains.

This denitrification integrated equipment has the following advantages:

The biochemical reaction that reduces nitrate and nitrite to nitrogen gas is called denitrification. Bacteria capable of denitrification reactions are called denitrifying bacteria. Denitrification is the anaerobic respiration process of denitrifying bacteria. Nitrate is the electron acceptor and nitrogen is the metabolic product. To complete this anaerobic process, an electron donor - organic matter - must also be provided.

Denitrifying bacteria are heterotrophic facultative anaerobic bacteria that can utilize oxygen or nitrate as the final electron acceptor. When oxygen is restricted, denitrifying bacteria use N5+ and N3+ in nitrate and nitrite as electron acceptors in energy metabolism for anaerobic respiration (reduction),O2- as a hydrogen acceptor to generate H2O and OH- alkalinity, and organic matter as a carbon source and electron donor to provide energy and achieve stability.

Based on the above denitrification mechanism, the integrated denitrification equipment, in an anoxic environment, uses denitrifying bacteria attached to the filter material and organic matter as electron donors to reduce nitrate or nitrite to nitrogen gas (N2) for release, completing the denitrification and nitrogen removal process.
